Wounds on flat surfaces such as the forearm or thigh can be bandaged with a simple firm wraparound technique. If blood soaks through the second dressing, then remove both dressings and apply pressure to the wound with a new dressing. Dynarex Non Adherent Dressing is a sterile, highly absorbent, non-stick gauze pad that won't adhere to the skin. Gauze swabs are made of an open-weave cotton material and non-woven swabs are made of a material made from bonded fibres. These non stick dressings are a lifesaver - work exactly as promised and I have been using them for years. The sterile dressings are held securely in place by the incorporated conforming bandage and are fantastic at providing initial protection from infection whilst en-route to hospital. The fast application of Trauma or Ambulance Dressings can stem lethal bleeding and reduce the risk of a casualty going in to shock.Adhesive dressings are available in a range of sizes making them suitable for covering all sizes of cuts or grazes. Sterile pads are secured using either adhesive tape sealed around the edge of the dressing pad, or a bandage rolled over the dressing, covering the whole pad. It is also very common to use cotton gauze or swabs when providing first aid to wounds, and we’ll cover those too. These non-adherent dressings won't stick to the wound, won't disrupt healthy healing tissue, and won't reverse any of the healing progress that the wound has made.
