About this deal

I did appreciate how he takes time to be with his family as an utmost priority, as well as acknowledging those who helped him on his journey – the sign of a big heart indeed. It’s hard to believe it’s true, but when reading his biographies, you want to (and I do) believe him. His grit, tenacity, and ability to get out of a sticky situation resonated with many while others were just shocked at what he was willing to put his body through. Wild, but I have watched a few episodes and heard Bear Grylls talk about some of his adventures, so I had some background before diving into this book. I had been hoping for more insights into Bear's life and family, which always encourages and informs my life.

Wild shoots and provides an insight into what it's really like to “Run Wild” with guests including President Obama, Roger Federer, and Julia Roberts. When he finished his schooling, Bear joined the military where he learned the techniques of military physical fitness and military tactics. Yes, it sounds glamorous, until I tell you that it makes the house in the Tom Hanks movie The Money Pit seem like Buckingham Palace. Bear has suggested that these should be given at a special moment – perhaps at the end of the Scout term, the last night of a camp or after a challenge has been completed. You vs the World: The Bear Grylls Guide to Never Giving Up retells Bear Grylls’ most extreme adventures in a kid-friendly way. Also, while he has worked with revered actors like Channing Tatum and Julia Roberts or politicians like President Barack Obama and the prime minister of India, it has been the little-known local people who have left an indelible, lasting impression on him. The book is about how Bear and his teammates crafted an amazing number of internationally broadcasted adventure shows that have been viewed by over 1. Despite a free-fall parachuting accident in Africa, where he broke his back in three places, and after enduring months in military rehabilitation, Bear went on to become one of the youngest ever climbers to reach the summit of Mount Everest. It was here that he perfected many of the skills that his fans all over the world enjoy watching him pit against mother-nature. Immersing readers in some truly remarkable adventures and sharing personal stories from Bear's toughest expeditions, this inspiring autobiography captures the exhilarating reality behind some of his hairiest survival missions.

He got into adventure as a boy, then pursued it as a student at university, and ultimately to avoid the 9-to-5 constraints of work. The stories are written in a friendly, down-to-earth manner with much humility, but little structure. Now, he shares time-honored lessons for leading an adventurous life through stories drawn from his personal experiences, as well as encounters with a diverse group of celebrities who have participated in his wildly popular television shows.Wild shoots and provides an insight into what it's really like to interact on Running Wild with guests including President Obama, Roger Federer and Julia Roberts. Where available we'll post the times as soon as we can get them, so check back about a week before for updates. He shares his adventures in matrimony and parenthood here too, including the time he and his wife, Shara, purchased a four-bedroom house on its own private island in Wales.
