About this deal

I like the old CD, it has good dynamics too, but it lacks bass and it's too trebly, so I'd always use equilizer. and “God Smack” give Layne Staley a chance to explore a vocal arsenal that encompasses bluesy wails, unholy screams, and. Whether you're a new Chili's fan or an old one, this album is absolutely quintessential to your collection, even if you're not a fan of the band, this album is still a pioneer of Rock Funk. I know One Hot Minute wasn't mentioned but the 320 of that one is one of my very favorite records (but not cheap). This pressing seems to have a more monstrous bass on some songs and overall this pressing has a natural sound to it.

Blood Sugar Sex Magik benefits immensely from Rick Rubin's production -- John Frusciante's guitar is less overpowering, leaving room for differing textures and clearer lines, while the band overall is more focused. The Righteous and The Wicked - Flea again utilizing the 5-string for this one, a truly great blend of lyrics and music, up-tempo and hard-hitting. In 2011 a limited edition and numbered 20th anniversary double LP was recut and re-mastered at Bernie Grundman Remastering, California, from the original analogue master tapes and pressed on red 140g vinyl. The LP was reissued in 1999 in the UK on Warner Brothers without printed inner sleeves [7599-26681-1; WX441]. We carry a broad range of CDs and vinyl (7”/12” singles and LPs) and specialise in indie, alternative, rock, punk, metal plus a few other genres.

Blood Sugar Sex Magik peaked at number three on the US Billboard 200, and produced the hit singles "Under the Bridge", "Give It Away", "Suck My Kiss", "Breaking the Girl", and "If You Have to Ask". Riding Flea's surging bass, Anthony Kiedis delivers his explicit lyrics with a rapper's flair, extolling the virtues (and outlining the dangers) of sex and drugs. In 2012 a 180g vinyl pressing, based on the previous year's remastering, was released in the US in red inner sleeves with photos and lyrics [468348-1; 1-528928]. This double vinyl edition doesn't disappoint either and sounds fantastic on my system, the quieter tracks really shine. Unusually for an album of this stature there have been very few deviations from the standard CD format and the remastering has thus far has only been for vinyl. This was the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ fifth record, released in 1991 and the first since 1989’s ‘Mother’s Milk’. The album has sold in excess of 9 million copies and made them one of the biggest alternative rock acts of the 1990s. Sir Psycho Sexy - The sexiest song in existence, the poetic way Kiedis puts across this story is genius to say the least. The Croatian version came out on Warner Brothers and Croatia Records, which was the successor to the Yugoslavian label Jugoton [7599-26681-1; LP-7-2-F 2037001].

turned out to be one of the all time classic AC/DC records, both with original howler Bon Scott and his Geordie successor. For a similar later release (after May 2019) with the new "Warner Records" label logo, see Red Hot Chili Peppers - Blood Sugar Sex Magik. If You Have To Ask - John and Flea come together really well on this song, usually it's played slightly differently live, but the album version is the foundation, it's a great track. I have the US pressing and it’s one of those records that’s always kind of startled me with its amazing sound quality. It contained an insert with band photos that included a photo compilation made up of images of the different group members' tattoos, and with lyrics [45203-4].

It has it all and displays a great crossover between rock and non-rock genres and still sounds fresh 'till this day. Also there is not information if it's the most recent remastered version as the inserts are not included you can't check the credits, etc. It toned down the metal riffs of their previous 'Mothers Milk' (1989) LP and contained their first hit with the unusually quiet and reflective 'Under the Bridge'.
