About this deal

Crafted just a stone’s throw from the site of the original Bankhall distillery, using finest ingredients, handcrafted in a copper pot still, and crowned with the timeless Liver Bird emblem. Our unique blend of 11 botanicals also includes Classic Juniper, Angelica Root and Cassia Bark to give you a spirit perfectly served over ice. Its botanicals include spruce needles, birch bark, cassia bark and meadowsweet, giving the gin a crisp note with a smooth and dry finish. Liverpool Gin is distilled in the artisanal Liverpool Gin Distillery on Castle Street, close to the iconic Liver Building and the River Mersey. A fantastic tasting orange scented organic gin that's bursting with distinctive flavours from Liverpool Gin's blend of organic botanicals and zesty citrus note from the organic oranges brought over from Valencia. Sea Holly (Eryngium maritimum) is the official flower of Liverpool and grows along the citys coastlines.

Ormskirk Gin draws on the town's culinary history and includes one of the area's most renowned foodstuffs for its botanical make-up: ginger.Neither distillery survives today, but there are now four gin distilleries across Liverpool and the Wirral, from Sea Ridge micro distillery to one of the UK's largest producers, Halewood International - makers of Whitley Neill Gin, Dead Man's Fingers Rum, and Liverpool Gin. Distilled in the Baltic Triangle in the heart of Liverpool, the Ginsmiths of Liverpool hand make their gin in small batches. Their dry gin is a classic, and is defined by the inclusion of sea holly, the city's own flower, foraged from the shores of the Mersey. They distil their product just over the road from the site of one of Liverpool's oldest distilleries - at Bank Hall. This citrus gin is a unique mix of the classic and the contemporary in gin distillation, combining a time-honoured juniper base with an exciting citrus flourish.

A truly artisan gin, Lunya gin is handcrafted from stunning ingredients grown in the Spanish sunshine.

Lunya’s very own bespoke gin, produced in collaboration with John O’Dowd (the creator of the original Liverpool Gin) of Love Lane Distillery. The Homemade Gin Company was established in 2016 after gin lover Peter Golightly began experimenting with a copper still after gaining the appropriate licenses. Made from the finest ingredients from the quayside including juniper berries, coriander, angelica roots and citrus fruits which results in an excellently balanced yet complex gin. The juniper certainly stands up, as does the citrus, but I found many of the secondary botanicals weren't quite as well defined. It's the people that make Liverpool the unique city that it is, and nothing can be truer than with the Ginsmiths - a team of passionate, local experts, with a depth and a wealth of distilling knowledge and expertise. Legend has it that the bark of the fever tree was first used by the Spanish in the early 1630s where the healing properties of the tree were discovered. The Handmade Gin Company now producers over 40 gin varieties and 26 gin liqueurs, as well as having produced over 150 white-label bespoke gins for other companies. I had a revelation that many of the unique, beautifully packaged, ‘hyper-local’ bottles of gin I’d collected over the years were in fact produced by the same big UK distilleries that had been contracted out to produce for brand owners.
