About this deal

With the exception of some parts towards the middle of the hand, the dark red coloring is all pieces like the fingertips or exterior panels stuck on top of structure. Visit our Minifigure Weapons section for a great range of firearms, shields, and weapons to ensure your minifigure is never caught off guard! This trend continued until 1989, when the first different shaped LEGO hands came out, which was in the form of a pirate hook.

The last few years have seen massive jumps in terms of minifig detail, first dual molded arms and legs, now side and toe printing on legs, (the new Sam Wilson cap looks amazing and is what got me thinking about this) and all that’s really left to improve is the hands, either dual molded or printed, or both. I find that the design and articulation of human prosthesis very interesting, and would be very beautiful in LEGO form. The color of the plates really doesn't matter, and I think it would look better in a metallic silver. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. The photo above is what, to me, is the proper orientation of the minifigure hand when it is empty and holding basic utensils, but sometimes I use the hands the other way to get a different grip on a tool or to achieve a certain position. It follows the anatomy of the human palm and is able to perfectly replicate the posture of the palm in action. Although many different types of hands are used today, the yellow hand remains a standard for the Town/ City Themes and other non-movie based original LEGO Themes.

This hand is modelled from the structure of a human hand, the palm being the highlight of this work. The Robot Hand can pick up the carrier from two different sides – the smooth white side and the studded blue side.Finance is provided by PayPal Credit (a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH). The palm is just solid and flat, unlike a real hand, but I don't think that detracts from the articulation at all, because of the range of movement in the fingers and thumb. The model can be put into a wide variety of realistic hand positions, such as forming a fist, holding up any number of fingers (4 is pictured), snapping, performing the Jedi mind-trick from Star Wars, or even holding small objects like a pencil or a minifigure (no, these wouldn't be included :D).Some things require the hand to be sideways, generally in this case I have the flat side on the inside and curved side on the outside of the minifig. The project has taken me about three months to develop and to perfect, and about 85% of the pieces were retrieved from the 42077 Rally Car set. That's the typical orientation, because the wider parts represents the longer fingers and the thumb (supposedly, first time I consciously think about it).

I used dark red and light gray styling, largely because that's the color I had for the finger joints and then I decided to keep going with it for the rest of the model. Experiment by adding different materials to the Robot Hand for a better and safer grip that also causes less damage. Also, I made a left hand because I'm left-handed, but you could just switch a couple pieces around to put the thumb on the other side. Cos I look at my hands and when they are curled the top part is naturally curved and shorter cos of the thumb.
